FAQs

  • What is Detour Discotheque?

A pop-up party, appearing briefly in some of the world's most beautiful and unexpected locations.

  • Where and when is Detour Discotheque?

The 2025 edition takes place over three days and nights at Masseria La Restuccia, outside Lecce in the Puglia region of Italy – Friday 19-Sunday 21 September.

  • What is the venue?

Masseria La Restuccia is a 16th century fortified farmhouse on five hectares of land in the Puglian countryside. It has a number of fantastic spaces for dancing, including a poolside pagoda and the Masseria building itself. It also has the largest pool in southern Italy.

  • What are the opening times?

You can arrive at the venue from midday on Friday 19 September ahead of the pool party (see the programme). On Saturday night, the venue is open from 7pm for food, followed by the main party at 9pm. On Sunday, the venue is open from 4pm. If you’re staying on site, the pool and restaurants are open all day. If you’re staying elsewhere, you can book to use the restaurant and pool outside of the venue opening times.

  • Do I need to stay in accommodation at the venue?

No, you get to choose your own accommodation (there are loads of great options nearby). It’s easy to get taxis to and from the venue and we can help you arrange transport.

  • How many people are coming?

    There are around 300 tickets.

  • What will the music policy be?

D.I.S.C.O. Think classic disco and world music from the 70s and 80s – something like legendary New York clubs The Loft or Paradise Garage. You can read more about the acts playing here.

  • What does the ticket price include?

Entries to Detour Discotheque for the parties shown in the programme. It doesn’t include food, accommodation or other travel.

  • Who do I show my ticket to?

You’ll need to exchange your ticket for a wristband, which you can do when you first arrive at the venue. Just look for venue or Detour crew in orange T-shirts.

  • How do I get there?

La Restuccia is an easy drive from two international airports: Bari (2 hours) and Brindisi (45 minutes). You can also get the train to Lecce, nearby, and then a taxi. Read more about travel here.

  • What about transport in the local area?

There are a number of local taxi companies who can cheaply transport you to and from Lecce and the venue. La Restuccia staff will help you arrange travel, including day trips to and from nearby beaches or towns.

  • What will the weather be like?

September is, in our opinion, the best month to visit southern Italy – beautifully warm, but not oppressively hot. Pack a summer wardrobe with a few warm extras.

  • What will I need to bring?

Your phone to display your ticket, and some photo ID.

  • Will there be a cloakroom?

Yes, there’ll be a cloakroom for coats and bags, though items are left at the owner’s risk.

  • What else is there to do?

Plenty! There are myriad lovely towns in the Puglia area including Otranto, Gallipoli, Ostuni and of course Lecce, plus miles of coastline to explore. At the Masseria there will be activities including fresh pasta-making. Venue staff can also recommend local attractions.

  • What if I can't come any more?

There will be an official ticket exchange via our partner, Tixel, where you can sell your ticket (including to your friends, via a private link). The ticket exchange will open closer to the time. This is the only way to sell tickets. Other than that, they are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • What's the dress code?

Detour is very much a wear what you want event – just put on what you feel comfortable dancing in. However, we do suggest themes for your outfits. On Friday 19 September it’s ‘Disco Paradiso’ (bold prints, floaty fabrics, open shirts and short sorts) and on Saturday 20 September ‘Glitterazzi’ (sequins and sunglasses, flash moves and flashbulbs).
